Und es gibt Spiele, die werden erwartet — Jahr für Jahr, Update nach Update, bis die Community nicht mehr sicher ist, ob sie das Spiel oder die Vorfreude mehr liebt. <strong>Blood on the Clocktower</strong> gehört zur zweiten Kategorie. 2014 begann <strong>Steven Medway</strong> mit der Entwicklung eines sozialen Deduktionsspiels, das alles anders machen sollte als <strong>Werwölfe</strong>. 2019 sammelte die Kickstarter-Kampagne über eine halbe Million Dollar ein. Die Auslieferung wurde für 2020 versprochen — sie kam 2022. Aber als das Spiel endlich ankam, war die Frage nicht mehr „War es das Warten wert?", sondern: „Kann irgendein Spiel so lange warten lassen und trotzdem liefern?"</p>
